We’re looking for an experienced creative professional to join our small but passionate team and develop our charity’s marketing strategy to help improve mental health in games.

You’ll be helping to raise the profile, reach, and impact of Safe In Our World across the global games industry and gaming communities. You’ll work closely with our Charity Director and wider team to develop and deliver strategic marketing campaigns, promoting our programmes, engaging new and existing audiences, and helping to ensure that our message reaches the people who need it – and need us.

Hours per week: 37.5 (flexible hours)
Location: UK-based (remote)
Salary: £35,000 – £40,000, depending on experience

The Role: Senior Marketing Manager

As our Senior Marketing Manager, you’ll lead on marketing activity for Safe In Our World, balancing strategic thinking with hands-on delivery. You’ll help shape and maintain a strong, recognisable Safe In Our World brand.

A big part of this role will be bringing our existing initiatives to life through effective marketing and helping the team launch new programmes and projects aimed at both the games industry and global gaming communities.

You’ll also play a key role in growing our digital presence, including developing short-form content strategies across platforms such as TikTok and YouTube, while helping to deliver regular and meaningful content for Safe In Our World’s website.

You’ll build relationships with key game industry press outlets, coordinate press activity around our campaigns and charity initiatives, and help our work reach a global audience. Alongside this, you’ll track and measure the effectiveness of our campaigns, using insights and performance data to help shape future marketing activity.

The Ideal Candidate

We’re looking for someone with experience of working with stakeholders and external partners to deliver marketing campaigns. You’ll have strong written and verbal communication skills and be comfortable creating a range of content, including website copy and press releases.

An understanding of the video games industry and its ever-changing landscape will be important, while knowledge of content creators and influencers will be beneficial.

We’re a small team, so flexibility and a willingness to support others are essential. We’re looking for a candidate with strong management skills, who can balance multiple campaigns, deadlines, stakeholder relationships, and KPIs.

Importantly, we want someone who shares our passion for mental health and gets excited by the opportunity to use their marketing experience to support positive change across the games industry and gaming communities worldwide.

Our interview process will include three stages:

  • An initial phone screening where we’ll provide some more information about Safe In Our World, answer any questions you have, and get to know you a little better.
  • A first interview with our Charity Director and Head of Programmes, where we’ll ask questions about your skills and experiences in relation to the role.
  • A second interview with our Charity Director and one of our Trustees, which will involve a brief presentation task.
