Press Pause 2024 Highlights & Achievements
Posted: 8 Nov 2024Press Pause 2024 has officially ended, and thanks to the generosity, enthusiasm and support from our wonderful partners and community, we were together able to raise over £15,000, which will go a long way in our mission in mental health awareness.
This year we saw a variety of inspiring fundraisers who rose to the challenge to support Safe In Our World, whether it was through our D&D one-shot campaign, streaming, painting or walking!
We are so grateful to our incredible community for coming together and making Press Pause 2024 such a success. Here are some highlights from the event:
ChoOoOo-Choo! All aboard the definitely-not-haunted train…!?
The lovely team at Dovetail Games and Train Sim World embarked on an epic Halloween inspired D&D adventure, all whilst raising money for Safe In Our World. You can check out the full VOD below!
GreendotEmo spent an eerie 12 hours in Silent Hill 2 to support Safe In Our World
We loved seeing the amount of effort and creativity that went into Jay’s fundraiser and events for Press Pause. They not only spent 12 hours streaming the Silent Hill Remake to their community, but spearheaded their team at work to come together for the event. You can see this cute little video showing the setup and events of the D&D adventure. The team volunteered their time to paint their characters and create the scenery before playing the one-shot in the evening!
MPG Pressed Pause with the Gatekeeper campaign
Our event partners and heroes MPG kicked off campaigns with a number of their internal teams, to take on the Press Pause Arcade with both seasoned D&D players and newbies alike. We loved how they made the event welcoming to all their team, and allowed for moments of learning amongst the chaos.
TheRealPengy painted their own minifigure, Marvin, for the event
As you can see above, Pengy spent time on stream creating the cutest minifigure in honor of the Press Pause fundraiser. Marvin, the figure, has also found a new home after Pengy kindly raffled the figure to their community. We love seeing our community members take on new challenges and get involved in their own way!
DungeonSelect Rolled the Dice for Safe In Our World
We were delighted to see Dungeon Select, a D&D group involving LauraK483 from SideQuest, take on the Press Pause Arcade on stream for the charity!
If you played our One-shot, The Gatekeeper, you might be familiar with the hot dog. If not, we recommend skipping to 32 minutes in, and learn about the famed arcade hot dog.

Thank you. We put our heart and soul into this campaign, and it’s the first of its kind that we’ve created for the team here at Safe In Our World. We loved seeing your reactions, choices and improvisation around the story that we crafted for you. It was a delight to see our ideas come to life within our community!

We have ambitious goals for 2025 and beyond in changing this industry for the better, and creating more mental health support.
