Charity Bundle Raises $200,000 For Mental Health In Games

With the support of our partners, and the amazing team at Fanatical, our charity bundle raised over $200,000 for mental health in games – in just 6.5 hours!

On Friday 7th February at 3pm UK time, we launched our fifth charity bundle. It featured 27 great games from studios who care deeply about mental health. We were utterly blown away when, by 9.30pm, it had completely sold out, raising a whopping $200,534 in support of Safe In Our World and mental health in games.

💚 Our Friends and Partners

We’d first like to take a moment to celebrate and thank everyone who contributed to our biggest bundle yet, from the wonderful developers and publishers who donated keys, to the team at Fanatical who hosted the bundle, to creators, ambassadors and friends who helped us amplify the bundle across their platforms.

Our charity bundle featured 27 fantastic games from 22 studios, including Akupara Games, Big Evil Corporation, Chibig, Colorgrave, Dinosaur Polo Club, Double Dagger Studio, Draknek & Friends, Double Fine Productions, Future Friends Games, Jampacked Games, Landfall, Monster Couch, Outright Games, Panic, PQube, Raw Fury, Slitherine, Something We Made, Toge Productions, tobspr, White Paper Games, and 11bit.

🚀 Our Continued Mission

It is both our passion and our privilege to support the games industry, promote positive steps to improved workplace wellbeing, and to help reduce mental health stigma in games communities and across studios.

Initiatives like our charity bundle allow us to continue to provide support to games companies of all sizes; independent developers and industry professionals; aspiring game devs and gamers. From toolkits, talks and training, to larger initiatives like the development of our mental health journal, Sidekick, your support means we can keep creating new and improved ways to raise awareness, encourage acceptance, and start important discussions around mental health.

We’ve signposted over half a million people to life-saving resources through the Safe In Our World website. We continue to support those impacted by job insecurity and redundancies with our free workshops on developing coping strategies and navigating uncertainty. We’re proud of the resilient and empathetic community managers who took on our free mental health first aid training, who are looking out for devs and gamers alike.

In just five years, we’ve achieved so much, thanks to the support we’ve received from partners, donors and the wider community. The whole Safe In Our World team is excited about 2025, and we can’t wait to show you more of what we’ve been planning.

🎮 Get Involved

If you’re looking for other ways to support our mission, we’re always eager to hear from enthusiastic mental health advocates. We’d encourage studios (of any size) to consider joining Level Up, and benefit from a wealth of resources to improve your mental health policies and practices in the workplace.

To hear the latest charity news, get involved in discussions or new initiatives, or hear when our Ambassador applications open again later this year, we’d encourage you to join our Discord. If you’re interested in fundraising, we’ll be hosting Play Your Way and Press Pause again this year, but you’re welcome to run, bake, stream (or something else entirely) in support of Safe In Our World all year round.
