Safe In Our World and Ubisoft unite to deliver Good Game Playbooks for kids, teens, and parents – challenging toxicity in video games!
We co-developed the very first Good Game Playbook with Ubisoft back in 2023. It was designed to provide players with the tools to navigate and help reduce in-game toxicity. Now, two years later, we’re back to collaborate on a brand new set of tools – this time for the whole family!
The original Good Game Playbook gave players the tools to recognise warning signs, cope with anger and negativity, and practice self-care. Over the last two years, it’s been delivered to any Ubisoft player reporting others for toxicity, as well as to players who are reported.
But we recognised the need to adapt to the different ages of young gamers and provide parents with the tools to support their children in engaging safely with online games.

A playbook in three parts
Players and parents can now download three Good Game Playbooks: one for kids, one for teens, and one for parents. Each has been adapted to consider the kinds of challenges faced by that age group.
- The Good Game Playbook for Kids caters to a 5th grade reading age and focuses on how to stay safe online and understand appropriate and inappropriate behaviour in online gaming.
- The Good Game Playbook for Teens supports an 8th grade reading age, and helps young people make informed, safe decisions about what games they play, how, and with whom. It also supports teens in identifying signs of tilt, and gives guidance on how to remain a positive member of their online communities.
- The Parents’ Guide is designed to support parents and guardians in understanding the risks and nuances of online gaming and communication, so that they can facilitate open and productive conversations with their children.
While all the toolkits focus on the same core objective (helping gamers be positive online community members), each playbook approaches it in a way that resonates with its intended audience.
Choose your Playbook
You can still download the original Good Game Playbook (in English or French) to learn more about toxicity in online gaming, what is meant by “tilt”, help with identifying your own warning signs and stress signatures, building resilience, and practicing self-care.
Or, you can download the Good Game Playbooks we released with Ubisoft in 2025. These are available in English, French, Brazilian Portuguese, Spanish, and German, and you can download them for free from the Ubisoft website.
